The emerging field of robotics holds tremendous potential for benefiting every aspects of human life. In the past, robotics are primarily used as machines that automate human tasks. Therefore, this benefit has been limited to very specific environments such as factories and heavy industry. With the advancement of technology and ubiquitous nature of innovation allow the integration of robotic technologies into the human living space for daily uses. These days, new design of robotics highlights how people and robots can do better together. The human-machine partnerships acknowledge and build upon human capability. However, this integration cannot be successful without understanding the science and psychology behind interaction between robots and humans.
This survey is part of a preliminary study, which aim to understand how the design of a robot affect human's perception. This survey takes approximately 3 minutes to complete.
