We develop an algorithm based on the biological process of protein transcription that reads DNA sequences into geometrical forms. This algorithm combined with a web platform allows groups of people to co-design graphical forms by selecting their favorite design out of the choices that the platform has created through mutation process. Every time that a person selects a design, the selected corresponding DNA become the parent DNA for generating three more mutated offspring. This process resembles somewhat the mutation in bacteria. While typical of genetic algorithms, the web interface allows for the crowd to shape the evolution of the form by applying pressure through selection process. This interface using biological process as the biological material combine with web platform as the “Intermediate ” create a non-traditional way for the user to interact with computer interface for designing graphics.
